About us

Skydive Chatham was created after a 10 day jump trial period in August of 2009. It wasn't Skydive Chatham yet, but another drop zone that was temporarily homeless due to Mr. Obama's vacation in Martha's Vineyard. What Mr. Obama’s vacation has to do with us, you ask? Well, unfortunately, parachuting activities are strictly forbidden in a 30 mile radius from the President of The United States. That being said, we were forced to move away from our home base at Marstons Mills Airfield, and find a new location. Chatham Airport was the only other suitable place for skydiving on Cape Cod. After a ten day trial, there was no question about it…Chatham could not only accommodate our skydive activities on their premises but they deserved a full season drop zone! Instead of receiving an unfriendly and unwelcoming attitude (very common to new prospecting drop zones), The Chatham Airport Commission and its management, showed their concerns and requirements in a professional manner and welcomed us to the area!
